Description

Leanne Pearson is an independent force to be reckoned with. She shows that there are no limits to an Independent Canadian Country Girl.

Leanne took home Music Video Of The Year for “Hot Pursuit” and Album Of The Year for “Pull It Off” at the 2019 Manitoba Country Music Awards. Leanne also took home Female Artist Of The Year at the 2018 Manitoba Country Music Awards.

Recently, “I Wanna Be More” and “Hot Pursuit” cracked the Top 100 at Canadian Country Radio in 2018 and 2019. Both songs are off Leanne’s first full length album “Pull It Off”.

Written solely by Leanne, “I Wanna Be More” embodies everything she is as an artist and a person; independent, funbubblyquirky and a bit different! Best described as a beachy vibe with a bouncy melody, “I Wanna Be More” is a blend of Country and Pop, with a tasteful twist of Reggae. The feel good music video will have you grinning ear to ear. Cute, genuine, flirty and playful! The music video was played on major networks across the U.S., including Heartland and The Country Network.

The music video for “Hot Pursuit” has been described as follows:” Crime pays for Leanne Pearson in the action-packed video for her new single Hot Pursuit. Combining a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde tale of pistol-packing highway robbery with performance footage of Pearson and an all-female band, the video makes it clear the Winnipeg country-rock queen takes a backseat to no one.” – Darryl Sterdan, Tinnitist.

Leanne grew up watching live DVDs of classics like Eric Clapton, John Cougar Mellencamp, The Eagles and The Rolling Stones. She knew at a young age that she was going to be on stage and often used the living room as a place to perform for family and friends. She first sang at the age of 4, singing Tomorrow from Annie. She joined a music theatre group at the age of 7 and was in countless musicals for 7 years. She played a variety of rolls from Young Nala in The Lion King to Cosette in Les Miserable to Lefou in Beauty And The Beast. Leanne wrote her first song at the age of 10 and picked up the guitar shortly after, at age 12, and taught herself how to play.

Leanne has been described by industry folk as level headedmaturesweetfunny and very talented. This 30-year-old country rocker walks on stage with a pretty dress, cowboy boots and a big smile, then shatters your expectations as she tears up the stage with her edgy stage presence

In addition to 3 Top 100 singles, one of her first singles, “Get Outta My Heart”, hit Top 50 on the Canadian Country Music Charts. CMT added the quirky music video, which turned heads across the country. The follow up single “The Only Thing” hit Top 100. Both singles were off the debut album “Serendipity” which was released in 2013.
