I was a Producer for the MediaMotion Ball from 2009 – 2017. The MediaMotion Ball is the longest running not for profit, all volunteer organized user event at National Association of Broadcasters convention. MMB is brought to you with the help of our platinum sponsor AJA. 2019 was our 22nd event at NAB and was another great night. Tickets for our 2020 event will go on sale in mid February.

The MediaMotion Ball is the longest running all volunteer and not for profit event for production professionals each year at NAB. First held in 1998, the MMB has grown to be the one dinner you ‘need’ and ‘want’ to be at during NAB. 400 attendees and it ALWAYS sells out.
I was able to hire 25 students from the Art Institute of Las Vegas to work the event. Because they had to work during the event, we gave them a dinner from Subway. I emailed them a Subway menu earlier in the week.
I created a Word doc where they wrote down what they wanted to eat at the event and they emailed it back. Time is of the essence. Earlier in the day, I would place the order and pick up just before the Student Workers arrived. Mr Subway would write the Student Worker’s name on their Dinner Bag and Drink, so there was no confusion.
I also helped coordinate all the buffets for the 400+ attendees.
The MediaMotion Ball is the industry’s finest gathered at a relaxed event that provides the opportunity and time to meet and talk with the ‘who’s who’ of the video production, motion graphics, colorist and 3D fields.
Attendees will enjoy a fine multi-course sit down dinner & dessert, mingling with their industry friends & peers and also participate in the drawing from our huge prize pool.
